Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Arial Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gunmetal Grey Ii!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones lands with an overhand left.
Grey Ii throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The fighters circling - Grey Ii throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Grey Ii bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jones's head backwards.


It looks like Arial Jones has been cut.
Jones wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Jones's jab looks to have found its range, popping Grey Ii under the eye.
Jones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Jones - that will leave a mark!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jones avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jones looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Grey Ii stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Grey Ii scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Jones lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Jones lands a really nice looking cross but Grey Ii seems unphased.

Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Grey Ii throws a hook to the side of Jones's head but Jones sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Jones changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Grey Ii lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Grey Ii.
Grey Ii throws a body punch but Jones moves out of range.
Grey Ii tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Grey Ii.
Jones looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Jones throws a shot from downtown. Grey Ii moves away and avoids it.
Jones loads up on a big right hand but Grey Ii slips the punch.
Grey Ii moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Grey Ii throws a combination that misses

and Jones counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Grey Ii is trying to stick to Jones's back but Jones is turning into Grey Ii. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Grey Ii's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Jones.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Grey Ii controls Jones momentarily but Jones frees himself.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jones is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Grey Ii sees it coming and defends easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That was a close round but I would say that Arial Jones will probably get the nod.

Jones drops Grey Ii with a beautiful combination! Grey Ii stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Jones is looking for the KO!

Grey Ii throws a hook but Jones avoids it easily.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


A combination from Grey Ii does no damage.
Grey Ii looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Jones avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Jones lands a big head kick that sends Grey Ii tumbling to the mat! Jones takes a step backwards and waves Grey Ii back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Grey Ii misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jones.
Grey Ii is still on wobbly legs! Can Jones finish him?
Look low, kick high! Jones uses the oldest trick in the book to send Grey Ii tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Jones is absolutely delighted - when Grey Ii wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Arial Jones!
An out of breath Arial Jones thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
