Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Wexler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Alves might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rob Zombie - Scum of the earth . Wexler has chosen Go To Sleep - Eminem as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves slips under a jab.
Alves lands a front kick.
No joy there for Alves, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wexler throws a hook but Alves avoids it easily.
A big left from Wexler misses.

and Alves counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Wexler moves in looking to clinch but Alves pushes him off.
Alves scores with a nice strike.
Alves throws a body kick that misses.
Wexler drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Alves defends it well.

Alves is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wexler defends well.

Wexler got a little sloppy there for a moment and Alves has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wexler has managed to get both his arms back between Alves's legs - danger averted.
