The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Virus tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Swift paws at him with a jab and circles away.
As The Virus backs away, Swift returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

The Virus shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Swift is trying to defend but The Virus finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

We've been informed that The Virus has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Swift is pressed up against the cage. The Virus has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Swift down to the mat. Swift avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Kane Swift seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown attempt by The Virus or perhaps it was just good defense by Swift, which made it look bad.

Cyrus The Virus decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
