Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lucky Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paradox Percius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paradox Percius has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Lucky Day's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lucky Day!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paradox Percius!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Roberts and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Day tries to bum rush Percius with a series of wild strikes but Percius uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Percius.
Day looks to land a right hand but Percius moved out of range.
Percius looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Day shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Percius sprawls well. Percius wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Day gets slowly back to his feet.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Percius has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Day throws a lazy right hand but Percius sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Day gets caught flat footed, as Percius shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Percius slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Day can't do much from the bottom here.

Percius has control of Day's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Day regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That was a close round but I would say that Lucky Day will probably get the nod.

Day has been working on his balance at Thrifty Essentials Gym (Elite CT), so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Percius.
Percius fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Day checks it well.
Day catches Percius with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Lucky Day is winning the standup battle so far.

Percius shoots in and bounces Day off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Percius drops back looking for a leg! Day is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Day manages to kick Percius off! Percius jumps back into Day's guard.

Percius looking to break Day's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Day remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Percius will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Paradox Percius showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Day's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Percius tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Percius has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Percius is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Day is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Day is looking for a sweep. Percius is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Day is in trouble now - Percius has advanced to mount!

Day stops Percius from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Paradox Percius comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Percius has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
