The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ragnar misses with a straight left.
Rudrick seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Ragnar throws a body shot but no joy.
Ragnar has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Rudrick is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Rudrick changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ragnar tries to avoid it but Rudrick manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ragnar to the ground. Ragnar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ragnar drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ragnar wants to pass the guard but Rudrick is keeping the position.
Ragnar passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Rudrick is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Ragnar is controlling him well.
Rudrick might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ragnar tries to move into full mount but can't pass Rudrick's legs.
Ragnar prevents Rudrick from escaping the position.

Ragnar goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Rudrick rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Ragnar's guard! Nice work there by Rudrick!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ragnar lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Ragnar won't allow Rudrick to get back to his feet.
Ragnar tries to free his leg and advance position but Rudrick is retaining full guard.

Ragnar slips nicely into half guard.
Rudrick tries to kick Ragnar off but Ragnar keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Ragnar wants to work for an arm triangle but Rudrick is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Ragnar is looking to advance position but Rudrick won't allow it.

Ragnar is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rudrick sees it coming and defends easily.
Rudrick could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ragnar works his way into full mount!

Ragnar looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Rudrick is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Ragnar has taken his back.
Rudrick wants to get back to his feet.

Ragnar is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Rudrick knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Rudrick for a finish.

Ragnar is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Rudrick with him. Rudrick is trying to defend but Ragnar has an arm under the chin now! Rudrick grimaces and is forced to tap out!
