The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hatterway blocks a jab.
We've been told by Moraes's head coaches at Spartan Elite 24x7 that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Hatterway takes one on the button.
The fighters circle momentarily. Moraes darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Hatterway pushes Moraes up against the cage in a clinch.

Moraes has picked Hatterway up - he's going for a ride! Moraes dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Moraes wants to pass the guard but Hatterway is defending well.
Moraes prevents Hatterway from improving his position.
Moraes wants to control but Hatterway is keeping him busy.
Moraes stops Hatterway from getting back to his feet.
Hatterway is not content to let Moraes control the position.
Moraes is looking to advance position but Hatterway won't allow it.
Hatterway is concentrating on defense, preventing Moraes from advancing position.

Hatterway is continuing to stall.
Moraes not doing much here.
Hatterway wants to control the action here but instead Moraes manages to pass to full mount!
Moraes tries to control but Hatterway wriggling away.
Hatterway is wriggling around trying to escape.
Moraes wants to control the pace but Hatterway is squirming around nicely.
Hatterway is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Moraes trying to control but Hatterway is having none of it.

Moraes is working for a guillotine from mount but Hatterway frees his head quite easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moraes controlling the pace for now.
Hatterway bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Hatterway is looking to stand up but Moraes won't let him.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hatterway wants to control from the top but Moraes keeps moving.

Hatterway lands a couple of digs.
Hatterway trying to control the position from guard on top but Moraes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Moraes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hatterway doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Moraes is tightening it up a little... Hatterway has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Hatterway reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Hatterway taps out! Nice BJJ there by Moraes!
