Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Akamai Hoi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Rico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoi comes into the arena with Blood Red Sky blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rico throws a front kick that sends Hoi stumbling back into the cage.
Hoi definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Hoi checks a leg kick.
Rico throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rico has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Hoi misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rico.
Rico throws a head kick but Hoi moves out of range.
Rico takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Hoi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rico has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hoi clobbers Rico with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Hoi feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ricos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Hoi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Rico. That did some damage!

Hoi tries to land a front kick but Rico steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Hoi appears to be looking for a big counter.
Rico throws a low kick but it's checked well by Hoi.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Hoi avoids the head kick by Rico.
Hoi thinks about countering with a head kick.
Rico is looking to chop away at Hoi's legs.
Hoi fires out a quick counter leg kick but Rico just manages to avoid it.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Rico might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Hoi has got the better of the exchanges.

The crowd cheers as Hoi lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rico doesn't seem phased though.

and Hoi counters with a huge left! Rico is in big trouble! He's backing up but Hoi isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Rico from any more damage. A dominating finish by Hoi!
