The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Njewel has managed to clinch.
Tsushima swings wildly with an uppercut but Njewel uses good head movement to avoid it.
Njewel makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Tsushima scores with a shot to the side of Njewel's head.
I was talking to Njewel's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
A head punch on the inside from Tsushima fails to land.
Tsushima misses with a hook to the ribs.
Tsushima's coach down at Tōshi was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Tsushima's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Njewel misses with a hook from the clinch.
Njewel lands a shot to the body.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Njewel.
Tsushima tries to throw a body punch but Njewel avoids it by throwing Tsushima back against the cage.
Njewel swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Njewel can't find room to land a body shot as Tsushima controls the action.

Tsushima blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Tsushima has Njewel pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Tsushima pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Njewel tumbling to the mat - Tsushima dives into Njewel's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tsushima sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Njewel's guard.
Tsushima tries to pass the half guard into mount. Njewel knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Tsushima is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Njewel has managed to free his arm - good work.
Njewel tries to roll over but Tsushima keeps him under control.
Tsushima frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Tsushima looking to secure an arm triangle but Njewel defends it well.
Njewel tries to lock up and control but Tsushima gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Tsushima goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Njewel turns into him and now he's in Tsushima's guard.
Njewel working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Njewel trying to control the position from guard on top but Tsushima is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Njewel with a flurry of punches that miss.
Tsushima is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Njewel rolls with it to try and escape but Tsushima cranks on the arm and Njewel is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
