Clawnes has chosen My name is MUD as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ben Breeze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thomas Clawnes!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clawnes misses with a low kick as Breeze jumps back.
Clawnes throws a leg kick but Breeze moved away.

and Breeze counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Breeze accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Clawnes keeping moving, preventing Breeze from controlling successfully.
We've been hearing that Breeze has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Breeze postures up and lands a big shot to Clawnes's brow.
Clawnes wants to sweep but no luck.

Clawnes has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Breeze can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Breeze got a little sloppy there for a moment and Clawnes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Breeze has managed to get both his arms back between Clawnes's legs - danger averted.
Clawnes wants to sweep here but Breeze controlling him for the moment.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Clawnes is on top in guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Clawnes working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Breeze controls Clawnes momentarily but Clawnes frees himself.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Clawnes escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Breeze gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Breeze won't allow Clawnes to sweep him here.
Clawnes manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Breeze manages to get himself to full guard.

Breeze looking to hit a scissor sweep but Clawnes is one step ahead there.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Breeze holds on and takes a little breather.
Breeze lands a decent shot there.
Clawnes lands a couple of digs.

Breeze is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Clawnes postures up in Breeze's guard and throws a big left but Breeze blocks it.
Clawnes is looking to work some ground and pound but Breeze has wrist control.
Breeze utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Breeze looking for a sweep. Not yet Breeze, not yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Breeze working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Clawnes doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Clawnes manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Clawnes slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Clawnes with shots to the head and body - Breeze looks very uncomfortable down there.
Breeze is bucking up trying to escape but Clawnes cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Breeze tries to reverse the position but Clawnes maintains control.

Clawnes jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Breeze is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Breeze and Clawnes has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Breeze is trying to control Clawnes's posture but Clawnes avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Thomas Clawnes will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

An out of breath Ben Breeze thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
