Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Damien Brock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyrie Irving (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Irving is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brock accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Brock gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Irving to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Kyrie Irving showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Damien Brock overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Brock can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Irving controls the pace.
Let's hope that Irving has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Brock's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Irving fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Brock to the ground. Irving is now in Brock's guard.

Irving stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brock swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Brock is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Damien Brock.
