Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shea Ohmsford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zang Zhai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zhai is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Sampans. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ohmsford closes the distance and clinches up with Zhai, looking for a takedown. Ohmsford pushes Zhai against the cage but Zhai circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
No luck for Ohmsford with that takedown attempt.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Zhai! But no joy.
Ohmsford shoots in but Zhai avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shea Ohmsford. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zhai throws a shot from downtown. Ohmsford moves away and avoids it.
Zhai lands with a nice body punch.
The fighters circling - Zhai throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Ohmsford closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Ohmsford is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Zhai knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Ohmsford tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ohmsford has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Zhai might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ohmsford haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Zhai is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Ohmsford's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Ohmsford is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Zhai doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ohmsford.

Zhai wants to control but Ohmsford is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Zhai really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ohmsford. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
