The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lockheart avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Lockheart wants to counter the offense by Mouba and move into the clinch position.

Mouba looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Lockheart!
Mouba fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Lockheart really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mouba. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mouba has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Lockheart is not content to let Mouba control the position.

We've been hearing that Mouba has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Lockheart tries to buck Mouba off but Mouba is having none of it.

Lockheart wants to control but Mouba is keeping busy.
Mouba seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lockheart does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Mouba has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Mouba lands a big shot there that rocks Lockheart but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Mouba postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lockheart looks a forlorn figure.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Mouba cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Lockheart is still in real trouble! Can Mouba finish him?
A big strike lands for Mouba! That's really hurt Lockheart and he's turned his back - Mouba keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Mouba jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
