Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Shimazu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arvydas Sabonis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sabonis comes into a darkened arena with his song building. James Brown - Superbad kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 35 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Arvydas Sabonis!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sabonis looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

A nice side step and Sabonis releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Shimazu wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

That was a close round but I would say that William Shimazu will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Shimazu's jab looks to have found its range, popping Sabonis under the eye.

Arvydas Sabonis seems to be getting the better of the standup.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
