Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hendo Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stanley Parker!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker moves into range and clinches up with Gracie.
Parker jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gracie walks away with a smile on his face. Parker gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Parker tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gracie sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Parker somewhat.
Gracie gets the takedown into side control.
Gracie has hold of Parker's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Parker tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gracie cranks the arm and Parker screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Parker, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Hendo Gracie!
