Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Josh Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Newman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newman wants to clinch.
Watson avoids the head kick by Newman.
It looked like Watson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Newman drives through with a takedown into guard.
Watson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Newman's guard.

Watson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Watson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Watson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Watson stays in close to Newman's body and controls the position.

Watson drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Watson as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Newman screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Watson! Nice submission victory there!
