Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Olin Raymond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Carrot!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carrot moves into the clinch.
Carrot has Raymond pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Raymond manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Raymond tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Raymond trying to land knees to the body.
Carrot's coach down at Den of Tears (22 coaches, $425 fee) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Carrot's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Carrot goes for a takedown attempt but Raymond pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
John Carrot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carrot has a takedown stuffed.
Olin Raymond has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Carrot.

Carrot clinches up against the cage.
Carrot looking for a takedown.
Raymond drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Carrot gets the underhooks and prevents it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Olin Raymond has been cut.

Carrot's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Carrot shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Raymond sprawls well. Raymond wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Carrot gets slowly back to his feet.

Carrot pushes Raymond up against the cage in a clinch.
Raymond scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Raymond tries to work over Carrot's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Raymond manages to break the clinch.
Carrot is trying hard to land a takedown here. Raymond sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Raymond displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Carrot.
Raymond misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Raymond goes for a double leg but Carrot avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Carrot continues to drive forward.
Carrot pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Raymond misses with a combination

and Carrot holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Carrot keeps control of Raymond as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Come on Carrot - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Carrot pulls Raymond into guard.
Raymond in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Raymond knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carrot on the ground.
Raymond being controlled here momentarily.
Raymond throwing strikes but missing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Raymond with a flurry of punches that miss.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carrot bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Raymond's guard.

Carrot seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Raymond has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Carrot can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Carrot seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Raymond trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Carrot is pushing down on Raymond's leg trying to pass to half guard. Raymond is fighting to maintain full guard but Carrot has managed to sneak the leg through.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Raymond wants to get back to his feet.
Carrot takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Carrot dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Olin Raymond's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Raymond throws a sloppy body shot
and Carrot counters with a monster head kick that knocks Raymond out cold! He topples like fallen a tree, crashing to the mat! Timbeeeeeerrr!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). John Carrot!
