The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierce uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Davidson.

Davidson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Pierce had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Davidson defends it easily.
Davidson distracts Pierce with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Pierce is looking for a triangle but Davidson pushes his legs off easily.

Pierce has his foot on Davidson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Davidson works his way back into a safe position though.
Davidson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Davidson wants to control from the top but Pierce keeps moving.

Pierce looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Davidson is defending well. Pierce quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Davidson has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Pierce celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
