Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Petr Jakovlev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Tripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jakovlev comes to the cage accompanied by Devour. Tripper has chosen Disturbed - Land Of Confusion as his entrance music. Jack Tripper acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 15 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Petr Jakovlev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Tripper!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jakovlev swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Tripper counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Tripper is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jakovlev's half guard.
Jakovlev is looking to control Tripper's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jakovlev avoid being mounted?
Tripper scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Tripper wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jakovlev keeps working.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Jakovlev shoots in and bounces Tripper off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Tripper lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Tripper won't allow Jakovlev to sweep him here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Tripper is stalling in the full guard.
Tripper stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jakovlev swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jakovlev thows a left - swing and a miss!
Jakovlev shoots in for a takedown but Tripper shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jakovlev throws a series of punches but Tripper moves out of range.
Jakovlev looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Jakovlev was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Tripper throws a shot from downtown. Jakovlev moves away and avoids it.
Tripper takes a swing at Jakovlev's ribcage but misses.

Jakovlev takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Jakovlev lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Jakovlev looks to land a combination but Tripper avoids it well.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jakovlev. Tripper does a little dance to reset his feet.
Tripper rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jakovlev moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Jakovlev takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Tripper feints and then cracks Jakovlev's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jakovlev down.
Jakovlev looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

A bone on bone clash there as Jakovlev blocks the leg kick.
Tripper misses with a low kick as Jakovlev jumps back.

Tripper is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Petr Jakovlev. That's going to take a lot out of him.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Tripper shoots in and bounces Jakovlev off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Jakovlev has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Tripper is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jakovlev.

Jakovlev is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Tripper throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Tripper is trying to get an arm triangle but Jakovlev is defending well.

Tripper not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Jack Tripper showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

It looked like Jakovlev wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Tripper feints and as Jakovlev raises his hands in defense, Tripper changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

We've been hearing that Jakovlev has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Jack Tripper comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Tripper winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
