And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mikiya Hayashida!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayashida keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hayashida looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Hayashida tries a head kick but it misses.
Wong takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Hayashida connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Hayashida lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Wong fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hayashida sprawls well initially but Wong persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Wong tries to pass to full mount but Hayashida defends it.
Wong takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wong connects with a nice short shot to Hayashida's temple.

Wong looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hayashida with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Hayashida tries to kick Wong off but Wong keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Hayashida can't keep his opponent in guard - Wong advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Hayashida has hold of Wong's hands but Wong slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Wong lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Hayashida quite badly. Hayashida pulls Wong in close trying to recover. Wong postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Hayashida on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Hayashida doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Master Wong!
In defeat, Mikiya Hayashida stepped up to the mic, saying 'Team Goroshi - Kore Fight Nutrition - Euolucao - Hardcore Montreal Fighting League'.
