Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ivan Putski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Era Ojdanic!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Putski looks to throw the jab but Ojdanic is out of range.

Putski shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Putski stops Ojdanic from getting back to his feet.
Putski has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Putski is pressing down on Ojdanic's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ojdanic is holding on for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Putski is keen to just control but Ojdanic is a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Putski works his foot free and advances to mount.
Ojdanic tries to lock up and control but Putski gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Putski trying to control but Ojdanic is having none of it.
Putski fails to move to back control.

Putski goes for an armbar but Ojdanic turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Ojdanic.

Putski is looking for a triangle but Ojdanic pushes his legs off easily.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Putski pulls Ojdanic in close to prevent any damage.

Putski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ojdanic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Putski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Putski is working hard here to advance position.
Putski manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ojdanic manages to get himself to full guard.


Ojdanic is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Putski passes Ojdanic's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Ojdanic is refusing to be controlled, as Putski sits in half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Putski is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ojdanic doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Putski.
Putski is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Ojdanic stops Putski from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Ojdanic is squirming around, avoiding Putski's attempts to control the action.
Ojdanic is just holding on here. Putski manages to take his back.

Putski is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Ojdanic trying to control the action but Putski just sinks the hooks in.

Putski is cranking Ojdanic's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Ojdanic! He's tightened the choke and Ojdanic is tapping out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ivan Putski!
An out of breath Ivan Putski thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
