Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jayson Ramirez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yuka Miruku!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Miruku has managed to clinch.

Ramirez is fighting off a takedown attempt but Miruku is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Ramirez to the mat. Ramirez regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Ramirez manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Ramirez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Miruku manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Ramirez keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Miruku breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Ramirez stands and steps away. Miruku gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Miruku shoots in looking for a takedown but Ramirez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Miruku's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Miruku shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ramirez napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Ramirez tries to bench press Miruku off him but Miruku keeps the position.

Miruku moves into range and connects with a jab.
Miruku fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ramirez avoids it really well and circles away.
Ramirez throws a big counter combination but Miruku scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Miruku drives through and clinches with Ramirez against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ramirez has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Miruku is trying to keep an underhook but Ramirez manages to get the takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Miruku drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Miruku jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ramirez pushes Miruku off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Ramirez goes for a double leg but Miruku avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Miruku continues to drive forward.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Miruku jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ramirez walks away with a smile on his face. Miruku gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Ramirez shoots in for a double leg but Miruku sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
