Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keneth Byers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Da KiD (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Keneth Byers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Da KiD!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

KiD clinches up against the cage.

Byers escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
KiD swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Byers counters by moving into the clinch.
KiD makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

KiD gets control of Byers's arms and successfully pulls guard. KiD will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Byers scoring with some ground and pound.
KiD keeping moving, preventing Byers from controlling successfully.
KiD working a defensive guard here.
KiD wants to control the position but Byers says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Byers sitting and controlling from the half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Byers has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
KiD wants to improve his position but Byers is controlling well.
Byers prevents KiD from standing back up.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
KiD is looking to control Byers's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can KiD avoid being mounted?

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

KiD fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Byers to the ground. KiD is now in Byers's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Byers is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and KiD defends well.
KiD must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Byers keeping moving, preventing KiD from controlling successfully.

Byers looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Byers is looking for a triangle but KiD pushes his legs off easily.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
KiD decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Byers, up you get!

KiD has managed to clinch.

KiD has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Byers clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Byers rolls, trying to escape but KiD keeps control of the position.
Byers avoids the strikes from KiD.
KiD struggling to land strikes to the head as Byers covers up.
Byers has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from KiD.
Byers could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Byers defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Byers turns into KiD and is now in his guard.
KiD working a defensive guard but Byers manages to pass into side control anyway.

Byers working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
KiD is trying to work for a sweep but Byers has mounted him!

Byers is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. KiD can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Byers can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as KiD is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Da KiD dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


KiD blocks the body kick.

KiD feints and as Byers raises his hands in defense, KiD changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

KiD got a little sloppy there for a moment and Byers has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, KiD has managed to get both his arms back between Byers's legs - danger averted.
Da KiD has got the better of the ground game so far.

Byers looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
KiD is looking to stand up but Byers won't let him.
KiD trying to control but Byers is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
KiD controls from within his opponent's guard.

Byers has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think KiD should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Byers has tightened it up now! KiD should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
