Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mitka Boycheck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rami Kottari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boycheck comes into the arena with Парус blaring out of the sound system. The key to victory for Mitka Boycheck has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 26 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mitka Boycheck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rami Kottari!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Viktor Lagutenko and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kottari misses with a hook.
Boycheck fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Boycheck rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kottari moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kottari looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Boycheck throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Boycheck throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Boycheck. Kottari does a little dance to reset his feet.
Boycheck doesn't manage to clinch there - Kottari circles away.
Kottari changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Boycheck breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
No joy there for Boycheck, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Boycheck lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kottari at a distance.
Boycheck blocks a jab.
Boycheck throws a leg kick which misses Kottari's front leg but catches the back leg as Kottari tries to avoid it.
Boycheck fails in his attempt to clinch.
Boycheck thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Kottari if he has to take too many more of those.
Boycheck lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A punch lands to the side of Boycheck 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Boycheck pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Boycheck throws a body punch but Kottari moves out of range.
Kottari takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Boycheck wants to clinch.

Boycheck clinches up against the cage.
Boycheck tries to stall but Kottari uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Boycheck is leaning against Kottari and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Boycheck tries to break free but Kottari pushes him back against the cage.

Boycheck breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.

Boycheck tries to close the distance and clinch but Kottari swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
It seemed like Kottari was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Boycheck pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Boycheck looks to land a right hand but Kottari moved out of range.
Boycheck moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Boycheck lands a head kick. Kottari smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Boycheck is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kottari can do to turn this around?

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kottari connects with a nice short shot to Boycheck's temple.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kottari is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Boycheck will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

I think Kottari has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
