Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Steffan Stove (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Schoots (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stove comes to the cage accompanied by Fire. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nathan Schoots!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schoots uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Stove.
Schoots with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Stove to score with a decent uppercut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Stove. Schoots does a little dance to reset his feet.
Schoots misses with a hook. Stove ducked under it nicely.
Stove tried to counter with a leg kick but Schoots avoided it.
Schoots throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Stove on the side of the head.
Stove slips under a jab.
Nathan Schoots seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Schoots's jab looks to have found its range, popping Stove under the eye.
Schoots misses with a looping right.
Stove looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Stove fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Schoots is out of range.

Schoots might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Schoots's coach down at #1 Amsterdam was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Schoots's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Schoots shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stove as he jumps to the side.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stove throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Schoots throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Schoots's jab looks to have found its range, popping Stove under the eye.

Stove takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Stove tried to counter with a leg kick but Schoots avoided it.

Stove uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Schoots.

Steffan Stove has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nathan Schoots.
Schoots throws a jab but it's blocked by Stove.

Schoots dives in and grabs Stove's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stove pushes down on Schoots's head and hops out.
Stove slips a jab and a cross from Schoots.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stove has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Stove there as he acknowledges the shot.
Schoots is still on wobbly legs! Can Stove finish him?
Schoots looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stove is fending him off so far but Schoots persists. Nope, Stove circles away and we're back to standing.
Stove feinted there with a counter leg kick.

Stove stuffs the takedown attempt from Schoots. Schoots gets slowly back to his feet.
Nice uppercut there from Schoots.
Schoots seems to have recovered his senses.
Schoots walks into a stiff left hand from Stove.
Good exchange - Schoots coming out on top.
Stove lands with a cross.
Schoots looks to throw the jab but Stove is out of range.
A lazy left from Stove finds it's target.
Schoots lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
A shot to the liver by Schoots. Beautiful body shot.
Steffan Stove is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Schoots just misses with a punch to the body.
Schoots misses with a takedown
and Stove counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Stove looks at the referee who does nothing so Stove lands a crushing right that sends Schoots to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steffan Stove!
Steffan Stove was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
Nathan Schoots was interviewed post fight and said 'Where am I?'.
