Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phan Tran Le (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stanly Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Le's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Dukes of Hazard Theme Song - Waylon Jennings. Williams has chosen Kenny Loggins - I'm free as his entrance music. Stanly Williams has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Phan Tran Le!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stanly Williams !
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Le fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Le fails with an attempt to clinch.
Phan Tran Le seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Williams misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Williams has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Le throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Williams misses with a body shot.
Le cracks Williams with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Williams lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Le moves out of range as Williams strikes.
Le misses the shot to the body.
Le looks to land a left hand but Williams moved out of range nicely.
Despite the aggression on Williams 's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Le scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Williams fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Le closes the distance and clinches.
Le lands a nice knee to the body.
Le goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Williams 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Williams lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Le throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Le throws a head kick that Williams semi-blocks.
Le pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Williams doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Williams misses with a series of wild punches.

Le lands a big head kick that sends Williams tumbling to the mat! Le takes a step backwards and waves Williams back to his feet - he wants the finish!

We've been told by Le's head coaches at LOD: Top Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Le jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Williams gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Williams avoids the head kick by Le.

Le lands with a straight right. Williams didn't see that one coming.
Williams lands a right hook to the body.
Le throws a poor cross that misses
and Williams counters with a nice body kick.

Williams scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

and Williams counters with a series of strikes. Le will be more careful next time no doubt.
Williams throws a chopping leg kick but Le manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Le throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Williams darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Le is defending against the submission attempts here by Williams .
Le is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Williams 's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Williams 's back!

Williams rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Le is looking to advance position but Williams won't allow it.
It looks like Le is going to stand back up.
Williams moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Le wants to get up but he can't break Williams 's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Le got a little sloppy there for a moment and Williams has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Le has managed to get both his arms back between Williams 's legs - danger averted.
Williams wants to sweep but no luck.
Williams is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Le has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Williams is proving hard to escape from.
Le wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Phan Tran Le will probably get the nod.

Williams moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Le throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Le throws a right and a left that both miss.
Le looks to score with a jab to the body but Williams is just out of range.

Le tried to counter with a leg kick but Williams avoided it.

Williams scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Williams looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Horrible takedown attempt by Williams or perhaps it was just good defense by Le, which made it look bad.
Le misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Le has closed the distance and engaged Williams in a clinch.
Williams blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Williams misses with a short punch on the inside.
Le misses with a hook to the ribs.
Le gets underhooks to prevent Williams 's takedown attempt.

Williams fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Le avoids it really well and circles away.
Williams stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Le.
Williams has a takedown stuffed.
Le throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Williams looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Williams misses with a hook
and Le counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Le checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
It looked like Le wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Le is looking to clinch but Williams is avoiding it.

Le looks to score with a jab to the body but Williams is just out of range.
Williams lands a nice leg kick that just misses Le's sensitive parts.
Le lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Williams defending well as Le loads up on a big left hand.
Williams bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Le's head backwards.
Phan Tran Le is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Le tries to clinch but Williams is having none of it.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Le wants to clinch up but Williams keeps it at a distance.
Williams takes a swing at Le's ribcage but misses.
Le is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Williams can do to turn this around?
Le tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Williams throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Le lands a head kick. Williams smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Le ducks under a wild hook from Williams .
Le lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Le misses with an uppercut.
Williams shoots in and drives through. Le sprawls well.
Phan Tran Le is winning the standup battle so far.
Williams takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Le misses with a head kick.
Le is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Le throws a jab when Williams was well out of range.
Le throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Le slips a straight right by Williams .
Williams throws a half hearted mid kick.
A head kick misses from Le.
Le scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Phan Tran Le is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Le slips under a jab.
Williams shoots for a takedown but Le saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Williams throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Le uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Le cracks a nice hook into Williams 's ribs.
Le fails with an attempt to clinch.
And Williams tries to counter it with a takedown but Le pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Williams moves forwards but Le connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Williams shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Le as he jumps to the side.
Phan Tran Le has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stanly Williams .
Le misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Williams .
Le stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Le lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Williams throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Williams tries to move into range but Le moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Le throws a jab when Williams was well out of range.
Le tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Williams was well out of range. Poor timing from Le.
Williams will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Le throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Williams stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Le throws out a loose jab but Williams uses good head movement to avoid it.
Williams takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Williams looks for a takedown but Le sprawls well.
A punch lands to the side of Williams 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Le scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Le slaps away a takedown attempt from Williams , before circling back to the center of the mat.

Le steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Williams .
Le looks to score with a jab to the body but Williams is just out of range.
Stanly Williams has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Le lands a jab to Williams 's midsection.
Le wants to clinch.
Le throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Williams 's head.
The crowd cheers as Le lands an impressive looking overhand right. Williams doesn't seem phased though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Williams has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Williams wants to land a leg kick but Le is out of range.
Le throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Williams on the side of the head.
Le blocks a low kick nicely.

And that's the end of the fight!
Phan Tran Le showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Le, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
