Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micah Hays (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDonald's entrance music is Get Busy Living. A fine choice. On his way into the cage it seems that Ronnie McDonald has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ronnie McDonald seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Micah Hays!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
McDonald with a lazy takedown attempt
and Hays counters with an outside leg kick.
Hays thumps McDonald with a low kick.
McDonald tries to clinch up but Hays circles away and keeps his distance.
McDonald misses with a looping right.
McDonald shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Hays counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronnie McDonald. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McDonald chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hays can pounce on him.
McDonald goes for a double leg but Hays avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hays continues to drive forward.
McDonald throws a poor cross that misses
and Hays counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Hays tries to land a front kick but McDonald steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hays's jab looks to have found its range, popping McDonald under the eye.
Nice uppercut there from Hays.
Hays has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as McDonald is landing a low percentage of strikes.
McDonald shoots in for a double leg but Hays sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hays keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's one minute gone in the round.
McDonald shoots in for a takedown but Hays shows good takedown defense.
Hays lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
McDonald tries for a takedown but Hays circles away easily
and Hays counters with a solid body kick.
That kick from Hays tenderised McDonald's leg. McDonald is trying to keep his angry face on.
Hays is looking to slow McDonald down with leg kicks.
McDonald changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hays tries to avoid it but McDonald manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hays to the ground. Hays escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hays now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Hays throws a nice outside leg kick.
Hays scores with a nice right hand.
Ronnie McDonald seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McDonald takes one to the chin there.
McDonald is rocked!
We've been told by McDonald's head coaches at Death Valley Training Facility that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
McDonald leaves his chin hanging out and Hays seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! McDonald crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
