Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steven Rutherford!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Leon Madge!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Atkins and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rutherford moves away from the strike by Madge.
It looked like Rutherford wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Rutherford scores with a nice right hand.
Rutherford throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Madge on the side of the head.
Madge throws a nice inside leg kick.
Rutherford tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Madge was well out of range. Poor timing from Rutherford.
Rutherford works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Rutherford lands a head shot.
Madge tries a head kick but it misses.
Rutherford feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Rutherford throws a big shot that misses.
Madge throws a leg kick but Rutherford checks it.
Rutherford tries a head kick but it misses.
Madge throws a low kick but it's checked well by Rutherford.
A counter left hand to the body from Rutherford misses its target.
Rutherford clinches up against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Madge breaks the clinch.
Madge's coach down at X Training Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Madge's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Leon Madge seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Madge connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Rutherford lands with a cross.
It looks like Leon Madge has been cut.
Rutherford takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Rutherford stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Rutherford throws a jab when Madge was well out of range.

Madge chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rutherford can pounce on him.
Madge throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Madge misses with a body kick.
A solid body kick from Madge.
The fighters circling - Rutherford throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Madge takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Madge throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Rutherford on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Madge. Madge obviously looking to wear him down.
Rutherford looks to throw the jab but Madge is out of range.
Rutherford avoids the head kick by Madge.
The crowd cheers as Rutherford lands an impressive looking overhand right. Madge doesn't seem phased though.
Rutherford clinches up against the cage.
Madge tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Madge breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Crunch! Madge slams his shin into Rutherford's torso.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Madge looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Rutherford lands with a straight right. Madge didn't see that one coming.

Madge walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Rutherford throws a chopping leg kick but Madge manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Madge bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rutherford's head backwards.
Madge misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rutherford seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Madge takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Madge throws a head kick that misses.
Madge pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Rutherford is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Madge tries to land a leg kick but Rutherford saw it coming and moves away.
A slapping leg kick lands for Rutherford.
Rutherford throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Madge's head.
Madge scores with a leg kick.
Madge walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Rutherford checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Madge throws a head kick that Rutherford semi-blocks.
Rutherford lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Madge looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Madge pulls out of a head kick attempt.

letting Rutherford counter with a right hand.
