Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Pat Garret (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Marcus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garret pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Garret tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Marcus was well out of range. Poor timing from Garret.
Marcus lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Marcus connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Garret scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Garret misses the jab.
Marcus tries to counter by closing the distance.
Garret is looking to chop away at Marcus's legs.
Marcus tries to clinch up but Garret circles away and keeps his distance.
As Marcus looks to move away, Garret throws a big counter combo bu Marcus just gets out of the way.

A good leg kick by Garret.
Marcus tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Garret manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Garret throws out a leg kick but Marcus moves out of range and Garret only half commits.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Simon Marcus has been cut.
Marcus takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Marcus moves away from the strike by Garret.
Marcus with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Garret to score with a decent uppercut.
Marcus gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Garret.
A big right from Garret misses.
Marcus on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Marcus wants to counter with a clinch but Garret pushes him away.

Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Garret throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Marcus is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
