And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rento avoids the head kick by Nikiel.
A head kick misses from Nikiel.
Nikiel misses with a wild combination.
Rento throws a quick inside leg kick.
Rento drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Nikiel not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rento advances to half guard.
Nikiel is trying to stand.
Rento lands with a punch from half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rento throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Rento has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Rento works his foot free and advances to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee warns Nikiel that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rento unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Nikiel wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Rento celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

After winning the bout, Reijo Rento thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
