Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sean Avery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Anthony Concepcion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Avery comes to the cage accompanied by Godspeed - Throwdown. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mark Anthony Concepcion was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Avery!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Anthony Concepcion!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avery swings for the body but Concepcion moves out of range.
Concepcion shoots in for a takedown but Avery shows good takedown defense.
Concepcion shoots in but no luck this time.
Avery clobbers Concepcion with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Avery misses with a kick to the body.
Avery stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Avery wants it to stay on the feet.
Sean Avery has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Anthony Concepcion.
Avery uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Avery gets caught flat footed, as Concepcion shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Concepcion is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Avery preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Concepcion stands up over Avery, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Concepcion in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Avery looking to hit a scissor sweep but Concepcion is one step ahead there.
Avery has Concepcion pulled in close to control his posture.
Avery on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Avery tries to get out of the position.

Concepcion won't allow Avery to sweep him here.
Avery looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Avery avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Concepcion drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Avery manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Concepcion has Avery in his guard.


Concepcion is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Concepcion looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Avery is defending well. Concepcion quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Avery has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Concepcion celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Mark Anthony Concepcion!
Mark Anthony Concepcion seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
