Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Paul Fish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viktor Gragula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Paul Fish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Viktor Gragula!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fish lands a nice hook to Gragula's body. Gragula takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Gragula stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Fish.
Gragula looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Fish fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Fish throws a sloppy head kick and Gragula moves out of range easily.
Fish tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Fish throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fish lands a glancing blow to the side of Gragula's head.
Fish has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Bi-polar Asylum in the buildup to the fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gragula takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
And Gragula tries to counter it with a takedown but Fish pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Nice straight punches there by Fish. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Fish.
Gragula closes the distance but Fish moves to the side

and Fish counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Gragula!

Fish in side control, just content to control the action for now.
You can see the frustration on Gragula's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
A lull in the action here as Fish stalls from top position.
Gragula struggling a bit here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Gragula is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The referee asks Fish politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Fish prefers to stall for the moment though.

Gragula tries to reverse the position but Fish maintains control.
Fish tries to control but Gragula wriggling away.
Gragula is in a horrible position here. Fish smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gragula is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Fish controlling from the full mount.
Gragula wants to control but Fish is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gragula is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gragula bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Fish pulls Gragula in to control the position.
Fish keeping moving, preventing Gragula from controlling successfully.

Gragula postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Fish is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gragula, into his guard.

Fish passes into half guard.

Gragula looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Fish pushes past his half guard into mount!
Fish lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Gragula is desperately trying to improve his position but Fish has a good base and remains in mount.
Fish trying to control but Gragula is having none of it.
Gragula can't escape the position.
Fish trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jon Paul Fish dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Gragula takes a kick to the side of the head.
Gragula fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Fish cracks the inside of Gragula's front leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fish throws a series of punches but Gragula moves out of range.
Gragula is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Gragula shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Gragula shoots in and drives through. Fish sprawls well.
Jon Paul Fish is winning the standup battle so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gragula throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Fish throws a leg kick which misses Gragula's front leg but catches the back leg as Gragula tries to avoid it.
Gragula looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Fish throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Gragula's head.
Gragula will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jon Paul Fish has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Viktor Gragula.
Gragula misses with a takedown
and Fish counters with a straight right hand.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Fish here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Fish connects with a nice looking jab.
Jon Paul Fish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fish fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gragula to the ground. Fish is now in Gragula's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fish seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Fish scoring with some ground and pound.
Fish is pushing down on Gragula's leg trying to pass to half guard. Gragula is fighting to maintain full guard but Fish has managed to sneak the leg through.
Gragula is trying to control but can't.
Nice strikes from Fish there.
Fish works his foot free and advances to mount.
Gragula is looking to improve his position but Fish isn't that keen on the idea.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fish scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Fish controlling from the full mount.
Gragula tries to hold on but Fish pushes him away.
Fish trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Gragula sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Fish is looking for a kimura but Gragula is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fish to get the leverage.
Fish wants to pass the guard but Gragula is defending well.
Fish passes to full mount!
Gragula is trying to escape the mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gragula keeps trying to improve his position.
Fish connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Fish landing strikes, looking to finish!
Gragula tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Fish pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fish lands a big elbow.
Gragula is in a horrible position here. Fish smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jon Paul Fish dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Fish lands with a nice body punch.
Gragula tries to clinch there but Fish circles away.
Gragula fails with the takedown
and Fish counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Fish lands with a shot to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gragula. Fish does a little dance to reset his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fish drops Gragula with a beautiful combination! Gragula stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Fish is looking for the KO!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Fish counters with a lovely straight right hand!


Gragula is rocked!
Gragula takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Fish.
Fish is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Gragula like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Gragula from another fist facial!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Paul Fish!
Jon Paul Fish seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
Viktor Gragula was interviewed post fight and said 'I hate werewolves'.
