Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bread Panterson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rocky Jameson!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jameson lands an overhand right.
Panterson scoring well with a low kick there.
Jameson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Panterson circles away quickly and effectively.
Jameson connects with a body shot that sends Panterson's belly button to the back.
Panterson throws a hook but Jameson blocks it.
Panterson seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Jameson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Panterson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Panterson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Panterson dives in and scores a takedown into Jameson's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Panterson advances position into side control!

Panterson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jameson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jameson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Jameson can't do much from the bottom here.
Jameson tries to buck Panterson off but Panterson is having none of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Panterson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jameson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Panterson tries for a kimura but Jameson is defending well.

Panterson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jameson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Panterson but great work by Jameson.
Jameson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Panterson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jameson stands up and beckons Panterson to his feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Jameson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Panterson gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jameson wants to get back to his feet but Panterson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Panterson is pushing down on Jameson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jameson is fighting to maintain full guard but Panterson has managed to sneak the leg through.
Jameson tries to get to full guard but Panterson has control of the leg.
Jameson is in trouble now - Panterson has advanced to mount!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Panterson wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.

Panterson working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Panterson working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Jameson turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Panterson off and cradles Jameson's limp body as Panterson celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Bread Panterson!
Our winner, Bread Panterson, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
