Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Salys Kazlauskas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Maer!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kazlauskas's waist but Kazlauskas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Maer off to one side.
Kazlauskas misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kazlauskas scores with a crisp jab that stopped Maer in his tracks.
Maer shoots in but no luck this time.
Kazlauskas sizes up Maer with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Maer darts in looking for a takedown but Kazlauskas gets double underhooks and turns Maer into the cage.
Salys Kazlauskas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Maer.
Kazlauskas tries to land a leg kick but Maer saw it coming and moves away.
Sloppy strikes from Kazlauskas. Those never looked like landing.
Maer tries a quick counter leg kick but Kazlauskas is wise to it.

Kazlauskas gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Kazlauskas trying to control the position.
Maer won't allow Kazlauskas to sweep him here.
Maer content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Maer is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Maer's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kazlauskas looking for a sweep. Not yet Kazlauskas, not yet.

Maer thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Kazlauskas definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Kazlauskas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Maer on the ground.
Maer not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Maer scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Maer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kazlauskas not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Maer sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kazlauskas's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Maer is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Kazlauskas is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
