The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Luis Alberto Perez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perez bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Benson's head backwards.

Perez rushes Benson and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Perez blocks a body shot from Benson.
Perez misses with a hook from the clinch.

Benson can't find room to land a body shot as Perez controls the action.

Perez does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Benson went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

And Benson counters with a quick kick to the body but Perez blocks it.

Benson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Perez sprawling to the canvas! Perez rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Benson finish him?!

Perez is rocked!
Benson shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Perez takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Benson sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Perez bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
