Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Oliver Schwalle!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
47 bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Schwalle doesn't manage to clinch there - 47 circles away.
A decent looking cross lands there for Schwalle.
47 misses with a kick to the body.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Schwalle has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Schwalle misses with a left hand
and 47 counters with a single leg into guard. Schwalle didn't expect that.
Schwalle looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
47 trying to control but Schwalle is working from the bottom.
47 in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
47 connects with a couple of short punches.
47 has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
47 tries to free his leg and advance position but Schwalle is retaining full guard.
Schwalle looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
47 is looking to pass into half guard but Schwalle pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Schwalle is in guard.

Schwalle throws a big right hand that misses.
47 controls Schwalle momentarily but Schwalle frees himself.
Schwalle throws a sloppy strike and 47 has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Schwalle is forced to tap! Great BJJ from 47!
