Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charles Boyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artur Szpilka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Charles Boyer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Artur Szpilka!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Szpilka dives in and scores a takedown into Boyer's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Szpilka controls from within his opponent's guard.
Boyer is striking but Szpilka is not phased and passes to half guard.

Szpilka decides to stand and escape the position.

Szpilka closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Boyer's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Let's hope that Szpilka has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Szpilka is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Boyer has escaped the position, nice work there.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
It looks like Szpilka might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Szpilka has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Szpilka scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Szpilka instigates a clinch.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Boyer.
Szpilka steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Boyer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Artur Szpilka showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!



Szpilka feints and as Boyer raises his hands in defense, Szpilka changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Szpilka is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Boyer sees it coming and defends easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Boyer makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Boyer.
Szpilka passes Boyer's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Szpilka slows the pace down in half guard.
Boyer is not content to let Szpilka control the position.
Szpilka is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Szpilka looking to control but Boyer is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Boyer bucks Szpilka off and manages to get back to his feet!

Szpilka fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Boyer, pushing him back against the cage.

Boyer decides to pull guard.

Boyer had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Szpilka defends it easily.
Szpilka is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Szpilka wants to control from the top but Boyer keeps moving.
Boyer lands a decent shot there.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Artur Szpilka comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Szpilka winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
