Voorheez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Switchez. Jason Voorheez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Walter Jeremiah!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Eddie Farnsworth and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Voorheez is looking to clinch.
Voorheez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jeremiah sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Voorheez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jeremiah.
A jab from Jeremiah finds it's way through Voorheez's defenses.
No luck for Voorheez with that takedown attempt.
Jeremiah has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Voorheez is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Voorheez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Voorheez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice takedown defense from Jeremiah. No joy for Voorheez on that attempt.
Voorheez on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Jeremiah lands a nice leg kick that just misses Voorheez's sensitive parts.
Voorheez moves away from the strike by Jeremiah.
Voorheez closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Jeremiah lands with a shot to the body.
Voorheez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jeremiah paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Voorheez shoots in for a takedown but Jeremiah shows good takedown defense.
Jeremiah looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Voorheez has closed the distance and engaged Jeremiah in a clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jeremiah is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Jeremiah escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Voorheez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jeremiah's waist but Jeremiah gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Voorheez off to one side.
Jeremiah lands a two punch combo.
Voorheez with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jeremiah to score with a decent uppercut.
Jeremiah swats away the attempt to clinch by Voorheez.
Jeremiah misses with a double jab.
Voorheez wants to clinch but Jeremiah slips to the side
letting Jeremiah counter with a right hand.
Voorheez is looking to clinch but Jeremiah is avoiding it.
Voorheez tries to clinch but Jeremiah moves out of range.
Jason Voorheez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Voorheez tries to clinch there but Jeremiah circles away.
Voorheez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Jeremiah! But no joy.

letting Jeremiah counter with a right hand.
Jeremiah lands a nice shot to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Voorheez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jeremiah swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jeremiah avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Voorheez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Jeremiah counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Voorheez thinking.

Jeremiah looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Voorheez closes the distance and clinches.
Jeremiah is trying to break free.
Jeremiah lands with a short shot to the head.
Voorheez tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Jeremiah avoids the elbow strike from Voorheez, against the cage.
Voorheez tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Jeremiah avoids it.
Voorheez missing with knees to the body.
Voorheez creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Jeremiah's defenses.
Voorheez keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Jeremiah's efforts to push away.
Voorheez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Voorheez blocks a body shot from Jeremiah.
Voorheez misses with an elbow strike.
Nice elbow from Voorheez.
A nice right hand lands inside from Jeremiah.
Jeremiah takes an elbow to the forehead.
Voorheez comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Jeremiah breaks from the clinch.

Jeremiah connects with the punch.
Voorheez shoots in and drives through. Jeremiah sprawls well.
A jab lands there for Jeremiah.
Walter Jeremiah is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Voorheez forces Jeremiah back against the cage and clinches.
Voorheez misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Jeremiah.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Jeremiah is trying to maintain a safe position but Voorheez gets an underhook and turns Jeremiah into the cage.
Jeremiah lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Jeremiah on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Voorheez throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Jeremiah blocks it with crossed arms.

Jeremiah breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Voorheez wants to clinch.
Voorheez is looking to clinch.
A little jabbing left from Jeremiah on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Jeremiah feints a jab promting Voorheez to slip. Jeremiah then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Voorheez slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.


Voorheez is rocked!
Jeremiah connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Voorheez momentarily.
Oh Voorheez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jeremiah drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Voorheez right on the button. Voorheez goes down! Jeremiah follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Jeremiah gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Walter Jeremiah!
Jason Voorheez was interviewed post fight and said 'Damn... Thats all i can say'.
