The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Campion tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Campion wants to clinch but Hughes slips to the side
and Hughes makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Hughes looks to score with a jab to the body but Campion is just out of range.
Campion lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Campion.
Hughes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Campion takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Hughes scores with a jab to the body.
Campion throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Hughes counters with an inside leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Campion walks into a left hand.

It looks like Matthew Campion has been cut.

and Hughes counters with a nice body kick.
Campion just misses with a punch to the body.

Hughes scores with a body shot.

and Hughes counters with a three punch combo that has Campion backing up. Campion nods at Hughes to acknowledge the strikes.
Hughes throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Campion stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Campion tries a head kick but it misses.
Hughes lands with a shot to the body.
Campion takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Hughes is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Hughes circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Campion drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Hughes follows Campion to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
