The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Sergei Dronov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nokautov swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Villarreal counters with a shoot takedown. Nokautov fights it but they end up in guard.
Nokautov is looking for a triangle but Villarreal pushes his legs off easily.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Villarreal's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Villarreal is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Villarreal gets to his feet - Nokautov follows without any prompting.
Nokautov rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Villarreal decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Nokautov's guard.
Villarreal stands up from Nokautov's guard - Villarreal perhaps looking for a knockout.
Villarreal takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
It looks like Roger Villarreal has been cut.
Villarreal shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nokautov's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Villarreal gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Nokautov connects with a body shot that sends Villarreal's belly button to the back.

Nokautov wants to clinch
and Villarreal counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Villarreal is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Villarreal is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Villarreal stands up over Nokautov, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Villarreal thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Villarreal gets to his feet. Nokautov looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Nokautov darts in trying to clinch
and Villarreal counters with a shoot takedown. Nokautov fights it but they end up in guard.
Villarreal scoring with punches to the head and body.

Villarreal scoring with some ground and pound.
Nokautov is trying to keep Villarreal in close.
Villarreal is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Villarreal's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Villarreal content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Villarreal gets to his feet - Nokautov follows without any prompting.
A telegraphed right hand from Nokautov misses the target.
A counter left hand to the body from Villarreal misses its target.
A lazy body kick from Nokautov
and Villarreal counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Villarreal working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Nokautov's head.
Villarreal cracks Nokautov with a solid left hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Villarreal decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Nokautov, up you get!
Vitali Nokautov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nokautov tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Villarreal counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Villarreal is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Nokautov is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
