Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Egon Ekkehard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny Nap Time (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jonny Nap Time!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ekkehard manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Nap Time on his heels. He'll look to pass Nap Time's guard now, I'm sure.
Nap Time has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Fitness elite 24/7. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Ekkehard advances to half guard.
Ekkehard missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Ekkehard is taking a breather. Nap Time says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Nap Time pushes Ekkehard off looking to stand but Ekkehard dives back in and keeps control.

Ekkehard works his foot free and advances to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ekkehard has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ekkehard fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
You get the feeling that Nap Time really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Ekkehard looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

The referee warns Nap Time that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ekkehard cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Nap Time really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ekkehard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Ekkehard lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Ekkehard tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Ekkehard has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Nap Time's face.

Ekkehard cracks Nap Time with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Nap Time is still in real trouble! Can Ekkehard finish him?

Nap Time seems to have recovered his senses.

Ekkehard has control of Nap Time's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Nap Time regains control of the situation pretty easily.
