The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
K S throws a head kick that misses.
K S jabs Whitley to the body, keeping him at a distance.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Whitley prevents K S from breaking the clinch.
K S wants to break free but Whitley has control.
Whitley is trying to drag K S to the mat but K S just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
K S looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
K S has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Whitley tries to pull guard but K S holds him up against the cage and eventually Whitley drops back down to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

K S gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Whitley enables K S to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Whitley manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

K S stays in close to Whitley's body and controls the position.
