Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Boreste Bardanos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marvin Zerkle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bardanos comes to the cage accompanied by My Kingdom Will Come. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marvin Zerkle!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zerkle uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bardanos.
We've been informed that Zerkle has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Zerkle displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bardanos.
Bardanos fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Zerkle shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bardanos as he avoids it easily.
Bardanos swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Zerkle takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Bardanos throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Boreste Bardanos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bardanos rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zerkle moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A left and a right from Bardanos both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Marvin Zerkle has been cut.
Bardanos ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Zerkle moves away.
Zerkle changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Bardanos throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bardanos throws an overhand right that lands on Zerkle's shoulder, as Zerkle tries to avoid the shot.

Zerkle shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bardanos napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bardanos manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Bardanos makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bardanos.
Bardanos avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Zerkle stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Bardanos throws up his legs and catches Zerkle in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Zerkle tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Bardanos! That came out of nowhere!
