Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Swilly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Blade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Swilly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Blade!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swilly misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Blade.
Blade scores with a crisp jab that stopped Swilly in his tracks.
Blade scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Blade throws a body shot but no joy.

Swilly manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Blade on his heels. He'll look to pass Blade's guard now, I'm sure.
Blade preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Swilly slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Swilly won't allow Blade to sweep him here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Swilly trying to control the position from guard on top but Blade is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Blade is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Swilly sitting in guard here, content to control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Blade is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Swilly tries to close the distance and clinch up but Blade swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Swilly closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Blade to the mat! Blade manages to get full guard.
Swilly looking to pass the guard.
Blade is looking to stand up but Swilly isn't so interested in that idea.

Blade managing to control the position.
Blade has momentary wrist control but Swilly slips an elbow through the middle.
Swilly not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Swilly throwing strikes but missing.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Blade digs a good hook to Swilly's body.
Blade lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Swilly throws a left and a right that both miss
and Blade counters with a left to the body.
We've been informed that Blade has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Blade cracks Swilly with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Blade has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Swilly to stand back up!


Swilly is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Swilly misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Blade misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Swilly.

Swilly closes the distance and clinches.
Blade swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Swilly wants to break free but Blade has control.
Blade tries to throw a body punch but Swilly avoids it by throwing Blade back against the cage.
Blade tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Blade working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Swilly breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Blade scores with a punch to the head.
Blade tries to close the distance and clinch but Swilly swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Swilly looking to score a takedown here. Blade is defending well but Swilly drives through and ends up in Blade's guard.
Blade trying to control the position.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Blade holds on and takes a little breather.
Blade avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Swilly trying to control but Blade is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jab, jab by Blade - just one landing.

Swilly forces Blade back against the cage and clinches.

Swilly pulls guard effortlessly.

Swilly has his foot on Blade's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Blade works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Blade stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Swilly swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Swilly shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Swilly was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Blade can't do much from the bottom here.

Blade is trying to improve his position.
Blade is being controlled here.
Blade manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Swilly with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Swilly works his way into side control.

Blade tries to improve position but can't.
Swilly controlling the position.
Swilly lands a decent elbow from side control.
Swilly in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Blade defending against the ground and pound.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Blade is looking to regain half guard here but Swilly keeps moving and retains side control.
Swilly slows the pace down.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Blade keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Swilly is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Blade's half guard.
Blade trying to control but Swilly postures up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Swilly tries to pass to full mount but Blade defends it.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Swilly tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Blade defends well and Swilly ends up having to push Blade into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Swilly tries to clinch but Blade is having none of it.
Blade unleashes a big counter combination but Swilly bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Blade scores with a punch to the head.
Blade connects with a nice looking jab.

Blade closes the distance and clinches.
Blade tries to throw a body punch but Swilly avoids it by throwing Blade back against the cage.
Blade lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Swilly backwards.
Swilly blocks a punch to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Swilly pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jake Swilly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Swilly lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Jake Blade seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Swilly tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Blade connects with a crisp jab.
Oh Swilly is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Swilly is looking to clinch but Blade is avoiding it.
Swilly seems to have got his legs back now.
Swilly tries to clinch up but Blade circles away and keeps his distance.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Blade! But no joy.

Swilly fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Blade, pushing him back against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Blade fails to land.

Swilly has clasped his hands together around Blade's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Swilly looks up at the clock and then as Blade takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Swilly smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Swilly is looking to take a break and control but Blade is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Swilly happy to just control the position for now.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Swilly thows a huge punch but Blade dodges it nicely.
Swilly is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Blade tries to roll over but Swilly keeps him under control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Blade holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Swilly throws a right and a left that Blade avoids nicely.

Swilly takes the fight into the clinch.
Swilly tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Blade pushes Swilly back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Swilly is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Swilly. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Blade gets through Swilly's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Blade has a couple of punches blocked by Swilly.
Blade tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Swilly misses with a short punch on the inside.
Swilly managing to block the knees to the body from Blade.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Jake Blade.
I think Blade has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
