Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Liam McGuiness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Sonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGuiness comes to the cage accompanied by The Boys are Back by Dropkick Murphys. Sonnen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Scream Aim Fire. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sonnen misses with a wild body shot.
McGuiness is looking to counter punch.

Sonnen misses with a hook to the body
and McGuiness cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sonnen thows a left - swing and a miss!
McGuiness is looking to counter punch.
McGuiness looks to throw the jab but Sonnen is out of range.
McGuiness feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sonnens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Sonnen lands with a shot to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McGuiness is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sonnen.

Sonnen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Sonnen is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down McGuiness rather than just go for the knockout.

It looked like McGuiness was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Sonnen.
Sonnen looks to score with a jab to the body but McGuiness is just out of range.

and McGuiness counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Sonnen wants to clinch up but McGuiness keeps it at a distance.

McGuiness uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sonnen.
A little feinted left hand from McGuiness on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Sonnen misses with a lunging right hand
and McGuiness counters with a right hand to the body.

and McGuiness counters with a crisp right hand that drops Sonnen! McGuiness lets Sonnen back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
