The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshida stuns Rection with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Rection on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Yoshida. Yoshida obviously looking to wear him down.
Rection connects with a leg kick. Yoshida looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Rection takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Yoshida tries to clinch but Rection moves out of range.
Rection misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Yoshida.
Yoshida throws a shot to the body.
Yoshida misses the jab.
Rection shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Yoshida as he avoids it easily.
Rection moves forwards but Yoshida connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Yoshida wants to counter the offense by Rection and move into the clinch position.

Rection takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Yoshida thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Rection if he has to take too many more of those.

Rection throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Rection swings for the body but Yoshida moves out of range.
Rection doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

and Yoshida counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Yoshida.
Yoshida can't find room to land a body shot as Rection controls the action.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Yoshida.
Yoshida softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
A left hand lands to the body for Yoshida.
Yoshida tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Yoshida tries to throw a body punch but Rection avoids it by throwing Yoshida back against the cage.
Rection tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Yoshida smiles and moves away.

Yoshida bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Rection's head.
A solid leg kick lands there for Yoshida.
Rection shoots in for a double leg but Yoshida sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rection blocks an uppercut.
Yoshida misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Yoshida struggles to land a body shot inside as Rection controls his hands.
Yoshida pushes Rection back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Rection blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Rection jumps guard but Yoshida turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Yoshida lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Yoshida has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rection is controlling an arm, preventing Yoshida from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rection can't escape the position.
Rection tries to hold on but Yoshida pushes him away.

Yuuto Yoshida showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Hugh G Rection seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Yoshida lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Yoshida wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Yoshida drops Rection with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Rection looks back up at him and smiles so Yoshida waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Yoshida lands an uppercut, right on the button! Rection tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
