Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sofpho King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rene Turgeon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think King might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Blue Collar Man. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King swinging wildly here.
King misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
King tries to clinch up but Turgeon circles away and keeps his distance.
Turgeon is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
King with a hook.
King wants to land a leg kick but Turgeon is out of range.
King really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Turgeon dodges the punch combination from King.
King looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Turgeon showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from King.
King tests Turgeon's chin there with a solid looking shot.

and Turgeon counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Turgeon.
King is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Turgeon wants to control from the top but King keeps moving.
Turgeon might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control King haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
King looking for a sweep. Not yet King, not yet.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Turgeon wants to control from the top but King keeps moving.
King wants to sweep but no luck.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Turgeon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but King is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

King is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Turgeon asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Turgeon is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, King has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Turgeon has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Turgeon is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! King is forced to tap! Great finish!
