Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ian Mueller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boris Rusev!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rusev moves out of range of the body kick from Mueller.
Rusev tries a head kick but it misses.
Rusev pulls out of a head kick attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rusev is pushing Mueller up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Mueller really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Rusev manages to break the clinch.

Mueller tries to keep at a distance but Rusev has taken the fight into the clinch.

Rusev unleashes a big counter combination but Mueller bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Rusev will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Mueller up against the cage.

Mueller shoots in looking for a takedown but Rusev manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mueller's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Mueller slaps away a takedown attempt from Rusev, before circling back to the center of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mueller looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mueller shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rusev sprawls well. Rusev wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mueller gets slowly back to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Rusev tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mueller drops down looking for a counter takedown but Rusev sprawls and moves away.

Boris Rusev showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

I would just about give that final round to Boris Rusev.
I've got Rusev winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
