Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Terry Opdauhl and Brandon Marshall. Opdauhl comes to the cage accompanied by Ludacris-Get Back. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 wins, 1 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of Sydney, Terry Opdauhl!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 wins, 1 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of Montreal, Brandon Marshall!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marshall waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Opdauhl.
Marshall tried to score with a low kick but Opdauhl checks it.
Opdauhl's jab looks to have found its range, popping Marshall under the eye.
Marshall will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Marshall tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Opdauhl is able to avoid easily.
The crowd cheers as Opdauhl lands an impressive looking overhand right. Marshall doesn't seem phased though.
Opdauhl throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Marshall feints the counter takedown.
Terry Opdauhl seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Opdauhl throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Marshall scores with a hook.
Marshall does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Opdauhl lands a slapping body shot.
Opdauhl has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Marshall takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Marshall scores with a jab to the body.
Opdauhl tries for a takedown but Marshall sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Marshall gets tackled into the cage by Opdauhl. Opdauhl maintains the clinch.
Marshall throws a punch but it's blocked by Opdauhl.

Marshall breaks the clinch.
Marshall ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Marshall takes a swing at Opdauhl's ribcage but misses.
Opdauhl fails with an attempt to clinch.
Marshall now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Opdauhl shoots and misses
and Marshall counters with a nice body shot.
Marshall showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Opdauhl.
Opdauhl staying out of range there.
Opdauhl throws a shot to the body.

Opdauhl manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Marshall on his heels. He'll look to pass Marshall's guard now, I'm sure.

Marshall escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Opdauhl gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Marshall tries to land a sweep but no joy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Marshall is trying to keep Opdauhl in close.

Marshall working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Opdauhl doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Opdauhl manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Opdauhl stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marshall swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Opdauhl won't allow Marshall to sweep him here.
Opdauhl with a flurry of punches that miss.

Marshall wants to sweep here but Opdauhl controlling him for the moment.

Marshall is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Opdauhl has his hands clasped together but Marshall extends and breaks Opdauhl's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Marshall.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Brandon Marshall!
