Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Kyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miami Vice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kyle's entrance music is Wasted. A fine choice. Vice has chosen Watch out, Vice is on a patrol! as his entrance music. Miami Vice will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

20 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Miami Vice!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kyle connects with a looping right hand.
Kyle has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Vice is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Kyle is looking to land body kicks.
Vice throws a big shot that misses.
Kyle fails with a takedown attempt.
Vice tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kyle will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

and Vice counters with a nice uppercut.
Kyle moves out of range as Vice throws a body kick.
Vice lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Vice throws a body punch but Kyle moves out of range.

Vice scores with the left hand. Kyle knows he should have avoided that one.
Vice takes a swing at Kyle's ribcage but misses.
Kyle wants to slow Vice down by chopping away at his legs.

Kyle goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Vice throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Vice clinches up with Kyle and pushes him back against the cage.

Kyle tries to work over Vice's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Vice pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Vice bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Kyle throws a body punch but Vice moves out of range.
Kyle lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Vice throws the kick towards the body but Kyle avoids it.

Vice tests Kyle's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Vice takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Vice swings for the body but Kyle moves out of range.

Vice uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kyle.

A solid leg kick lands there for Vice.
Vice throws a good cross that connects.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kyle throws a low kick but Vice avoids it.
Kyle with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Vice to score with a decent uppercut.
Vice goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Kyle throws a lazy right hand but Vice sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Vice! But no joy.
Kyle fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kyle finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Vice fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kyle.
Kyle tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Vice is able to avoid easily.
Vice thows a body kick. Kyle tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Kyle on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Miami Vice is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Vice throws a head kick that half lands.
A nice inside leg kick there by Vice. That's going to slow Kyle down.
Vice just misses with a punch to the body.
Vice gets caught napping as Kyle dives in and scores a takedown. Vice manages to retain guard.
Kyle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vice swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kyle wants to control from the top but Vice keeps moving.

Vice scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Vice.
Vice throws a shot to the body.
A low kick from Kyle is predictable there
and Vice counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Vice avoids the body shot from Kyle.
Vice lands with a kick to the temple. Kyle shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Vice throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Vice swings for the body but Kyle moves out of range.
Kyle feinted with a counter takedown.
Vice lands with a thumping leg kick.
Vice swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Kyle counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Vice!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vice is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kyle's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Kyle dives in for a single leg takedown but Vice sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Vice bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kyle's head backwards.

Vice scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kyle doesn't seem bothered though.
Vice is looking to chop away at Kyle's legs.
Kyle looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Vice lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Vice - that will leave a mark!
Vice has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Vice tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kyle was well out of range. Poor timing from Vice.

Vice lands a big head kick that sends Kyle tumbling to the mat! Vice takes a step backwards and waves Kyle back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Mark Kyle has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kyle pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Kyle throws a hook but Vice avoids it easily.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Vice. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Vice scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Kyle walks into a jab.
Kyle takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Kyle gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Vice.

Kyle lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Kyle chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Vice can pounce on him.

Vice doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Kyle ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vice moves away.
Kyle takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Kyle shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Vice defends it nicely.

After the fight, Miami Vice was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
