These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robitaille looks to score with a jab to the body but Kennedy is just out of range.
Kennedy seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Kennedy uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Robitaille.
Kennedy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Robitaille pinned against the ropes. Robitaille gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Robitaille closes the distance and clinches.
Robitaille gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like Nick Kennedy has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

I was talking to Kennedy's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Kennedy is breathing heavily.
Kennedy struggles to land a body shot inside as Robitaille controls his hands.

Robitaille digs a right hand into Kennedy's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Kennedy's gas tank.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Robitaille dips a shoulder and cracks Kennedy with a mighty uppercut! Kennedy falls back against the ropes and Robitaille unloads with a barrage of strikes! Kennedy is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the ropes! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Robitaille screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
